- The day started off FULL of inspiration thanks to Philanthropist, Playwright and World Traveler, Jay Cameron! He shared the importance of aligning with likeminded people to not only form solid business relationships, but to also collaborate and work together for greater success. Jay also shared his own experience of pushing past fears and doubts about self and why you must TAKE ACTION in your life. His actions led him to creating a 7-figure businesses, Maximum Impact Success and Maximum Impact Travel, and he shared an inspiring video proving that when you take the first step, success will show up bigger and better than you could have ever imagined. - Then, as if Jay’s session wasn’t inspiring enough, the TSP Awards became a full on celebration of all the businesses within TSP’s exclusive coaching communities, the TSP Mastermind and the TSP Collaborative, who had record-breaking years by becoming 6-figure, 7-figure and 8-figure businesses! These businesses represent a mix of successful brick-and-mortar stores, popular e-commerce and beauty brands, well-known service and product-based businesses as well as in-demand influencers and speakers. TSP LIVE 2023 awarded 37 6-figure businesses and 10 7-figure businesses, bringing to date TSP’s overall total of awards to 186 6-figure business, 58 7-figure businesses and two (2) 8-figure businesses.
- Traffic Sales and Profit Founder, Lamar Tyler, came through dropping major keys, as always! His session on “The 5 Secrets to Growing then Scaling Your Business to Massive Profits in 2023” was the pot of gold people didn’t even know they needed. His five secrets included: (1) You need a system for success; (2) Let the data drive you; (3) Close proximity to success; (4) Make the first investment; and (5) You have to become better!
- “You Down with ChatGPT?!” That was the session title for Alicia Lyttle, an AI enthusiast and digital marketing expert, who certainly had the audience screaming, “Yeah, you know me!” by the end of her presentation. In her engaging discussion, Alicia showed the transformative potential of AI, which was made clear by introducing her signature TADAA Method ™ (Train, Ask, Dig, Add, Assemble), a framework she designed to help business owners leverage ChatGPT to reflect their unique style and tone, thereby increasing efficiency and productivity. She also highlighted various AI tools that can be instrumental in scaling businesses and helping them stay ahead in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
- But that wasn’t it for the AI conversation! Beloved TSP Coach, John Lawson, also known as the “Ecom AI Boss,” followed up with a exciting session on “Upgrading Your Ecommerce with AI: Seizing the Future for Black Business Owners.” In his discussion, Coach John unpacked examples, tips and tactics that Black businesses can use to level-up their ecommerce success. The information and tools he shared were jaw-dropping and not only motivated ecommerce businesses to get in the AI game, but also motivated non-ecommerce businesses to start one!
- Then, she arrived… Issa Rae, celebrated producer, writer, director, businesswoman and founder of HOORAE, graced the stage in all of her glowing beauty with a message that inspired all to dream big and build a legacy beyond yourself that will outlive you. The greatest example Issa gave of that last bullet was that after all of the success and dreams she’s achieved, she now has a dream to build a film studio in her old neighborhood, a dream that was inspired by Tyler Perry. The most memorable moment of their conversation was about Love and Basketball versus Love Jones. Lamar shared that he and his wife, Ronnie, had an ongoing debate on which of the two Black cinema faves were the best. So, he asked Issa which was her favorite and she declared Love and Basketball because that movie is the reason she’s here. It inspired her to write her first screenplay at 15yo, and when she saw that it was directed by a Black female, she sought the director out and wrote her a letter asking her to make and director her movie. The director actually wrote her back and shared she couldn’t do the movie, but encouraged her to keep going. Issa was so happy the director had written her back that she framed it.
- TSP AFTER DARK closed out the day featuring “Sales Talks” with Bethanie Norman speaking on “Transform Your Business: Land Game-Changing Meetings with Your Dream Corporate Clients in Under 30 Days” and Jeannine K. Brown speaking on “Don’t Quit! You Can Close Six Figure Corporate Deals.” Then, the game-changing “7-Figure Panel” featuring Dr. Erica Jordan-Thomas, Donyale Walton and Enock Denis, the audience had the perfect space to share their takeaways from the day and also glean inspiration from the speakers and their individual expertise and journeys of success.
