Quadir Thomas , The CEO of In The City Magazine Checks in with Hip Hop United!

Quadir Thomas is the visionary CEO and founder of In The City Magazine, an influential Atlanta-based publication celebrating Black culture, creativity, and urban excellence. For the past seven years, Thomas has steered the magazine into becoming Atlanta’s go-to platform for storytelling, fashion, music, and cultural luminaries—routinely hosting star-studded cover reveal events featuring icons like Keisha Lance Bottoms and Jazzy McBee  .

Before launching the magazine, Thomas spent years immersed in management and coaching—including almost 15 years as a business owner and a background as a football coach. His passion for storytelling and visuals eventually led him to photography, where he developed a strong following through fashion shows and creative production. This foundation empowered him to establish his own media brand, building on the credibility and community he had cultivated  .

At the heart of Thomas’s leadership philosophy is a deeply collaborative culture. He attributes the magazine’s accomplishments not only to divine guidance but also to the talented and dedicated team that supports him—referring to them as “vested assets and decision-makers”  .
