ATLANTA, GA — [Oct 13] — Food has always had the power to bring people together. Chef, entrepreneur and television host Jaaion Barnes is taking that connection to the screen with his new cooking and lifestyle series, “Culture & Culinary,” now streaming on Roku TV.
Previously aired on Fox Soul, the Atlanta based cooking and lifestyle series is now streaming on its own Culture & Culinary channel on Roku
Created and hosted by Barnes, Culture & Culinary goes beyond the traditional cooking-show format by bringing food, culture, entertainment and storytelling together at one table. Each episode welcomes special guests into the kitchen to prepare memorable dishes while opening up about the experiences, passions and defining moments that have shaped their lives and careers.
Rather than sitting across from guests in a conventional interview setting, Barnes creates an inviting atmosphere where conversation unfolds naturally alongside the cooking. The result is a fresh blend of culinary entertainment, personality and candid storytelling that allows viewers to experience another side of each guest.
“Culture & Culinary is about what happens when great food creates the space for great conversation,” said Chef Jaaion Barnes. “I wanted to build a show where our guests can come into the kitchen, enjoy themselves and have conversations that allow audiences to see another side of who they are. Food brings people together, and that’s what this show is ultimately about.”
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Culture & Culinary is influenced by the city’s dynamic food, entertainment and cultural scenes while extending its reach through guests, stories and experiences from across the country.
Throughout the series, Barnes cooks alongside special guests while exploring their careers, personal journeys, passions, current projects and cultural impact. The relaxed atmosphere of the kitchen opens the door for spontaneous moments, humor, vulnerability and conversations viewers may not hear in a traditional interview.
For Barnes, Culture & Culinary represents the intersection of his passions for culinary arts, entrepreneurship, entertainment and storytelling.

More Than a Cooking Show
Food may be at the center of every episode, but the heart of Culture & Culinary is connection.
From entertainers and athletes to entrepreneurs, community leaders and influential cultural personalities, the series provides a platform for guests whose journeys can entertain, inspire and introduce audiences to new perspectives.
“Some of the best conversations happen around food,” Barnes added. “Culture & Culinary gives us an opportunity to celebrate great people, great stories and great food all at the same table.”
By combining the warmth of sharing a meal with the authenticity of meaningful conversation, Culture & Culinary transforms the kitchen into a space where culture is celebrated, stories are shared and connections are made.
