ABOUT 65

Boyan “65” Stanchev, also known as 65lanta a.k.a 65, is a Grammy award-winning, RIAA
Certified Platinum, Billboard #1 recording engineer and IFPI Certified Platinum producer. His
journey in the music industry is a vivid tapestry of determination, creativity, and serendipity.
Arriving in Atlanta in 2014 from Bulgaria, 65 dove headfirst into the local music scene, recording
rappers in all sorts of unconventional spots: home studios, barbershops, trap houses, Airbnbs, and
hotels.
After losing his job in 2017, 65 found a new path through an internship at 11th Street Studios. This
marked the beginning of his professional audio journey, where he connected with young YSL artists
like Lil Keed, Lil Gotit, and Karlae. Despite the language barriers, his unique approach to recording
—focusing on the vibe and energy in the room rather than discussions—helped his sound gain
recognition. By 2020, he became Yak Gotti’s personal engineer, working with the entire YSL camp
and traveling with artists like Unfoonk and BSlime. Even after the YSL RICO case and surviving a
shooting, 65 continued his work, recording with newly freed Yung Mal while on house arrest. His
career took another leap through connecting with artist Kuntfetish leading to his work on Doechii’s
album “Alligator Bites Never Heal,” which won the Best Rap Album award at the 2025 Grammy
Awards.
In 2024, 65 debuted his mixtapes “Scam City Lanta” and “8 Hands In,” signaling a more proactive
career approach. Simultaneously, he established Octogvng, an international producer collective
that includes young, talented producers from Ukraine, Italy, Egypt, France, Jamaica, and Canada,
bringing a diverse range of sounds and influences to the table. Utilizing his tech partnerships, he
has created a seamless and connected online collaboration experience for Octogvng, fostering
cross-border creativity and pushing the boundaries of music production, a connection that is
typically challenging to achieve. 65’s journey is a testament to his dedication, talent, and passion
for music.
