In an interview with Kenny Burns on V103 Atlanta, Monica let listeners in on her involvement in C-Murder’s case and the work that is being done to help him possibly regain his freedom. She personally takes time to study details of his case alongside his attorney to learn and continue to collect solid evidence in C-Murder’s favor.
Some commenters felt that Monica had an ulterior motive because of their history; however, the vocalist was sure to shut that down. “If it were your sister brother or cousin you would want someone to do the same. I could care less about who has been in his life because right now he is property of the state of Louisiana; and until that changes, I don’t care about anything else.”
