About DJ Sixteen:
DJ Sixteen is a versatile entertainer and Indie music proponent from Milwaukee, WI with an infectious dose of high energy. He is the founder of Big Hitz Entertainment, a label established 10 years ago, which has been operating as a music group for the past 6 years. He is currently pushing the single “Big Bag Chaser”, which is available on all platforms via UnitedMasters. It highlights exactly what it says and what he is doing right now–chasing the bag and getting the job done.
The drive to pursue music is embedded in DJ Sixteen’s DNA, as his mother was a rapper and his father was a DJ. He began engineering and producing for local artists at age 14 and then expanded his reach after graduating high school and moving to Madison, WI in 2015. Soon after, he started booking shows to rap.
While Sixteen thoroughly loves both producing and rapping, performing and having a strong stage presence is his forte. He explained that he has the keys to succeed, which includes understanding sounds and music while being real with himself and others regarding content quality.
Current Projects & Collabs:
“Dumper Mentality”, a project set to release in late 2021, will be a track compilation highlighting who he is and where he’s from; serving as a channel for vibes, information, and cultural introspection regarding the Wisconsin/Midwest music scene and overall challenging nature of their daily grind. The overall vibes are “club music” that listeners are able to “groove to” while getting a glimpse into their uniquely icy realities.
Although “Dumper Mentality” is intended to be a solo project to officially introduce himself to the globe, features include $hay Dolla$, DJ Pain1, Young Dev, and Produce, all from Wisconsin, with Dinero Gray being the mastermind behind the visuals.
After investing incorrectly and having an unsecured network, DJ Sixteen expanded his reach nationally to create a clearer pathway and open the gates to result-generating partners. He is currently collaborating with Trust the Process, Underground Railroad Radio, and HHF Milwaukee, while serving as the brand ambassador for Exotic Pop. Each company pushes the independent hip hop music culture forward by providing a strong support base while eliminating politics and hefty participatory costs.
