Hip Hop United had the pleasure of checking in with DJ Hard Hitta, coming straight out of Houston, TX. He announced his star-studded, diverse new album “King of the Vibe” as well as dropped knowledge on HHU fans about health & wellness, finance, helping new DJs elevate, and creating a platform for upcoming generations.
“King of the Vibe”
“King of the Vibe” is a project featuring hard hitters from across the nation. It not only stands for unity within diversity, it also promotes nonviolence. “King of the Vibe” captures distinct sounds from each region of the country while also grasping the ladies’ attention. Fans are in for a treat with features from elite artists such as Nipsey Hussle, Jeremih, Twista, Grafh, Butta Beezy, Jim Jones, Yella Beezy, Hitmaka, DJ Pain 1, 808 Mafia, Kyjuan, and more.
Motivations
DJ Hard Hitta has a deep passion and love for music. He explained that he believes in putting in hard work and never giving up on his goal, “If you are consistent and persevere, you can accomplish what you are meant to accomplish.” He continues to stay focused and on course by determining and then applying the lessons and wisdom gained from undergoing each challenge. As a Black man, he understands his place and role within society, which is why he diligently carves out successful routes for himself and his community. The name Hard Hitta is not only a name, it’s clearly a lifestyle. The DJ’s name stuck over time from sports to the streets to his influence in music. To remain a champion, he keeps a strong mentality, such as not hanging plaques and trophies. It is integral for him to treat each day like he has nothing so that he continues to work as hard as possible.
Health & Wellness
During the pandemic, Hard Hitta practiced thorough hygiene and safety protocols. He also took supplements such as seamoss and carbon 60 to boost his immune system, reduce inflammation, work as antioxidants, boost energy, promote cellular restoration, and a plethora of other benefits to help the body fight pathogens that cause disease.
Creating Platforms
Linking with other DJs for the love of music and to have a diverse ear, perspective, and collaborative force is facilitated by DJ Hard Hitta to create pathways for new artists and different types of collaborations in the music community. “Motivation and determination is just something you have to have. You can’t teach that, but what you can do is motivate and inspire people to channel that within themselves, to bring it out.” Hard Hitta not only works at the foundational level in music, he also coaches little league and has directly impacted professional athletes such as Dennis Pitway, Jr. and Loucheiz Purifoy. Passing on the torch with great energy to upcoming talent is one of his major tenets. In the future, he would love to work with a versatile group including Kenny G, Bobby Brown, Lil Pump, Blueface, and more. Most importantly, he wants to create projects with Lil Durk and other drill rappers to save lives. He illustrated a more progressive future for drill rappers by stating, “I think if we switched up a few of these lyrics, not only could we save lives, we could begin to be more powerful… a lot of these rappers they’re vocally talented. I think the powers that be would change their agenda if they changed their message.” DJ Hard Hitta would be one of the most qualified candidates to conquer this vicious issue riddling the rap game.
Upcoming Projects
TV Series: Be on the lookout Hard Hitta because he will be on your screens in various forms and fashions. His debut series, Master of Munchies, is currently available on YouTube and features foods that can be prepared within 15 minutes. Video Games: There are 3 video games coming soon to Google Play and App Store called “Hitterazi,” “Hard Hitta Home Run Baseball,“ and “Hard Hitta Knockout Boxing.“ Hard Hitta’s goal is to bring even more fun to classic games that we all enjoy playing. After reaching 15 games, he plans to develop his own console. A show is also in the works on the subject of cryptocurrency to educate and uplift people regarding investments, as opposed to promoting the purchases of liabilities.
