The Coalition DJ’s ATL are gearing up for their 17th anniversary in style, marking nearly two decades of influencing the Atlanta music scene and helping artists rise to prominence. Known for being a powerhouse collective of DJ’s, music professionals, and tastemakers, Coalition DJ’s ATL has become a staple in the industry, not only for their legendary events but also for their commitment to supporting indie artists.

We sat down with the cofounders to get their take on the anniversary festivities, the growth of the collective, and what’s to come in the future. Here’s a recap of what they shared.

DJ Funky and Big X spoke about how far the collective has come since its inception in 2006. “It’s incredible to look back on how much the collective has grown and evolved. We’ve helped launch careers, create opportunities, and foster a community that supports independent artists. The anniversary event was our way of celebrating all of that,” said one of the cofounders.

The founders also has their eyes on the future. “We’ve been in the game for 17 years, but we’re just getting started. There’s so much more we want to do, and we’re always brainstorming new ways to impact the culture.”

With 17 years of success behind them, Coalition DJ’s ATL is not slowing down. “We’re just getting started. We have a lot of big plans for 2025 and beyond, and we’re excited to bring everyone along for the ride.  Listen to our exclusive interview with our host Al Billups!
