Bird Beezy Talks New Single “Shorty Love” and More!

Bird Beezy from Tampa, FL checked in with your girl Briana as Hip Hop United’s first guest of 2021. They discussed his fresh tracks and upcoming ventures, while Beezy also left solid words of wisdom and encouragement for fans. The sharp-witted rapper has been hustling in the music game for over a decade and has plans of expanding and being a force within entertainment. Bird Beezy’s inspiration was sparked around age 8 when he would frequently attend “Chunky Sundays,” a neighborhood event in Tampa for local acts to showcase their talents. A natural performer, he would practice freestyling at home so that he would make his mark while performing on stage. This level of dedication and transparency has remained an integral part of his foundation as a musician, as most of his lyrics are penned from personal experiences, or at least situations that he has viewed as an outsider looking in. Needless to say, grasping listeners’ interests and then captivating their hearts has been his specialty while expressing his perspectives. “Shorty Love,” Beezy’s latest single, is a prime example of this. The lyrics highlight the process and mindset of a man who is ready to make a healthy relationship work for his love interest (stay tuned for complimentary visuals coming soon). Moreover, the realness of his music can be blended with most styles, so Beezy is open to collaborating with both new and old artists. While he never had the opportunity to work with Nipsey Hussle, who was extremely influential in his career, linking artists like Drake and Rick Ross would provide major opportunities to develop as a creative and move to the next level within his artistry. Bird Beezy continuously elevates as an overall entertainer, shifting into the fashion and modeling lanes. While music is his sacred baby and comes before all else, modeling presented the opportunity to expand his horizons in an intersecting field. It is parallel with his career and also compliments his craft and hustle as a creative.

So far, Beezy has been crushing the acting scene with cameos and music videos, so he is looking towards a prosperous future while exploring this avenue. Furthermore, the pandemic has reinforced Beezy’s mission of having a large presence.  “I’m going to be on everybody’s screens,” he affirmed. Nevertheless, he is focused on creating and releasing a lot of new music with accompanying visuals. His latest idea is hosting live shows on his social media platforms “to captivate listeners.” He emphasized that the goal is to deliver an experience consisting of an “in-person feel to continue to connect with fans being that the touring circuit is [currently] down.”Briana asked, “As an artist, what do you want to be remembered as?” Beezy candidy underscored the process of evolving into his most optimal self as an artist. “I just want to be remembered for the person that I put forth. My music, the messages in my music, I just want to be remembered for that as well as the person I am. As everybody grows with me and my music, everybody will see what I have to offer. Whatever I display is going to be for an eternity, it’s going to be forever.” This is the making of a legendary artist who knows and respects both himself and his creative process; therefore, he will continue to succeed and fans who are tuned into his frequency will always be motivated and have authenticity. Beezy wrapped up with advice for all up and coming artists: “Never give up on your dream, take constructive criticism, and keep pushing. Everybody got an opinion, some ppl might not like your music, some ppl might like your music. There’s 7 billion people on Earth and it’s a lane for everybody, it’s a market for everybody. Stay true to yourself and make music you love, and your talent is going to make room for you.”
