“The King of Crunk & BME Present: Trillville and Lil Scrappy” Now Available on all Streaming Platforms

Atlanta, GA – July 2, 2021 – Originally released on February 24, 2004, “The King of Crunk &
BME Present: Trillville & Lil Scrappy”, this split album is now available for everyone to revisit
on all streaming platforms.  This album is certified Gold in the United States by the RIAA and
spurred a cultural movement throughout the world.  Whenever singles like “Head Bussa” or
“Neva Eva” came on in a club, and if the DJ was risky enough to play these back to back, there
would be guaranteed brawls happening with these songs as the soundtrack.

The cultural impacts led by this dual-disc project are still heard today, especially the FILA
(Forever I Love Atlanta) term that Scrappy coined.  And the squeaky chair sound on “Some Cut”
has been sampled countless times over the years on a global scale.  With Latin hits like Exo’s
“Tempo” and Karol G’s “Mi Came” taking influence from that sound, which originated in
Atlanta one of the epicenters of hip-hop.  Lil Jon says, “It’s about time… those records were
classic records, it’s time they get released.”
BME co-founder and prominent Atlanta Attorney Vince Phillips says, “These were exciting
times when we launched BME.  I know a lot of you had some special memories of this project so
we’re glad to finally bring it to all streaming platforms for everyone to enjoy.  I know I was
taking a risk leaving the legal field at the time of this release to launch BME with Jon, and to this
day I haven’t regretted it.  We were responsible for a global movement and went down in history
which is all we could’ve asked for, and to see us all sustain a career to this day is truly special.”
Scrappy continues on with similar sentiments shared by Lil Jon and Vince [Phillips], “A lot of
people don’t give enough recognition to the movement we created.  We started an undeniable
movement in the South that took the world by storm!!”  Trillville echos Scrappy by saying,
“We’re glad this project is finally available on all streaming platforms!!  This one was definitely
a classic that shaped a sound that brought Atlanta to the world.”
