Infectious and dynamic, the project boasts true musicianship and Speed’s rapping ability as he flexes his pen, bars, delivery, skill and technique. The inspiration behind the project was to give people something they can feel came from the soul and genuinely show the love and the passion he has for the art form of Hip-Hop. Speed wanted to stay authentic and do the project his way with his authentic sound while simultaneously staying true to music that gives listeners the same nostalgic feeling of that from the 90s.On his video “Beautiful Nightmare.” ““Beautiful Nightmare” is honestly my version of common’s “Used to Love H.E.R” a double entendre of sort when you hear it, it sounds like I’m taking about my experience with my addiction with women and that’s a fair assessment, but really that was my creative way to making the song relatable. It’s really my addiction to my love for the music although the business/relationship is not typically fair for artists, but my lust/passion for the art form of the music is what keeps driving me to stick with my dreams and aspirations with music… although the business can be a nightmare, so indeed it’s a “beautiful nightmare.” In any version, you relate to the song, that’s the beauty of music; it’s meaning is subjective upon the listeners perception of how the art speaks to them. My goal as an artist always is to make you as the listener feel something,” said Speed.
