NYC based rap artist and model, Leaf, is back on the scene with her new hit record and visual for “Dummy” through her label, SLANG Music Inc. In the accompanying video which was exclusively premiered in popular Music, Entertainment and Fashion Magazine, MEFeater, showcases Leaf and her girl gang donning bunny ears and sexy colorful outfits with unique makeup looks designed by celebrity MUA Ernesto, from makeup guru Pat McGrath’s MUA team. Leaf and the gang are taunting and teasing a “dummy” who’s seen on a cat and mouse chase through New York City trying to locate the girls, to no avail.
In the hook, Leaf breaks out into a playful and catchy dance routine choreographed and creative directed by legendary dancer and choreographer, Tenile Jimenez, which fans have already been adding their own spin on the “Bunny Dance” on Tik Tok. Leaf paired up with the Columbian-born music director Laura Castellanos for this special video. Laura, who is signed to iconic film director Jessy Terrero’s Cinema Giants (best known for his work with 50 Cent, Nicky Jam, Jennifer Lopez, Maluma and Enrique Iglesias), marked her debut with an American artist with Leaf’s new visual.
The song, written by Leaf and Bobby Sessions and produced by both AJ & Scalez as well as Leaf, entices listeners with a hypnotizing beat that Leaf glides smoothly over. The upbeat and playful nature and tempo of the song seamlessly pair together with the catchy hook that will have fans dancing along this summer. “I’m excited to be back making music and shooting videos that I can relate to and I know my fans will connect with. Summer is about having fun and “Dummy” is a fun anthem that I know all my ladies can get behind”, Leaf stated. “I’m ready to get back out there and perform my new music and have fun doing it”. Now, Leaf is gearing up for the release of a new project later this year with Dummy as the first installment.
