Mann Robinson, is a Film Director, Producer, Actor, Author, Podcast Host, Businessman & Entrepreneur. In 2007, Mann evolved from a rapper into writing his first film entitled K.A.R.M.A. By 2011, Mann delved deep into studying the history of film and film equipment. Metro Wealth Films was incorporated in 2013 and Mann began co-directing “On Ten” his drama TV series in Detroit, New York and Atlanta.
In 2014, Mann launched the grand opening of his own film production house, Metro Wealth Studios and eventually established Atlanta Actors Workshop, a company which provides acting seminars to develop local aspiring actors. These workshops cultivated thousands of actors for roles that Mann’s company casted directly from its own database.
By mid 2014, Mann Robinson began the screenplay of the highly anticipated film entitled “
TURNT” based on his own life experiences and events of many he was affiliated with. He was inspired to share with the world what transpires behind the scenes within the music industry and the street life. He diligently took on this project full-fledged handling the casting, production, producing, filming & editing; while Mann himself would hold the prestigious title as Director. TURNT debuted January 2020.
Mann propelled his passion by adding more credits to his repertoire and developing numerous concepts into projects. His works include His, Hers and the Truth, a romantic comedy distributed to
BET Network and streaming on
(UMC) Urban Movie Channel (Co-Executive Producer),
Justice On Trial, and most recently
Troubled Waters exclusively on
BET+. Turnt 2, which was filmed during the pandemic, will be released soon. Mann Robinson also just wrapped filming his first ever thriller/horror film entitled Sebastian which will also be released soon.
Mann most recently added author to his resume as he just released a book entitled A Look Into: Black Independent Filmmaking. This book is the first black film making book providing insights on independent filmmaking, resources, filming techniques, funding, and film distribution. This book is packed with information in which it acts as a guide or cheat sheet providing the necessary tools for independent filmmakers of color to fulfill their dream of creating a full-fledged movie.
