“5 Years” is by far the hottest heartbreak record of 2021. Starting out as a cry for love, Emperious took her tears to social media therefore launching the #5YearChallenge that caused a viral uproar on Tik Tok.
After recently being sign by Mann Robinson to Mann Robinson Studios Music Division Chicago’s rising star, Emperious, announces the release of her already viral single ‘5 years’.
Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, 23 year old Emperious is an American female rapper. Fierce with an energy out of this world, she is primarily known for her ability to rap at fast speeds often being compared to rap legends Twista and Busta Rhymes. In May of 2021 Emperious signed her first record deal with Atlanta’s Filmmaker and Author, Mann Robinson.
After hearing just one unreleased song, he was convinced that he and a young female rapper, Emperious, would make a dynamic duo. In “5 Years” Emperious takes us on a journey to show how love can lead you into a dead end if you let it. Shedding light on mental awareness we are given an inside look of real events that took place between two high-school sweethearts and what could possibly happen when you just can’t get over an “ex”. She describes herself as being not only “The Greatest Female Rapper There Is” but a Queen who wears her crown not only spiritually, but physically. This would explain why the young female artist can flow so recklessly yet soulfully. She is an artist whom takes form of many characters as she delivers mind blowing bars throughout the course of her intense, hardcore songs, making her versatile all around the board with genre’s such as Pop, R&B, and more! A true lyrical genius.
This single is exactly what Hip-Hop needs, a refreshment of what it really is.
