Heavy hitter Clay “Krucial” Perry III from Drumatized stopped by Hip Hop United to check in with music fans around the globe. The 24-year-old engineer turned recording artist hails from Memphis, TN and is hitting home runs out of the park anytime he’s mixing, mastering, and on the microphone. “Not My Fault” is the featured single being pushed on Krucial’s latest EP “If We Must Die,” scheduled to be released March 19, 2021.
He has always embraced auditory art, originally rooting himself as an engineer. During this time, he networked with BlocBoy JB and others, which allowed him to transition into composing his own content and being in the spotlight. While developing into a rapper, he mastered the skill of drawing from other talents such as Kanye West, Kid Cudi, The Pharcyde, Starlito, etc. and then synthesized a mind-blowing microcosm that stands before the world as Clay “Krucial” Perry III the recording artist.
He has continued to collaborate with artists he’s engineered for, such as BlocBoy JB, Trippie Redd , coCash, Fast Cash Boyz, NLE Choppa, and more. His ideal collaboration would be creating a groundbreaking track with Kanye West. Currently, his focused intention is on round-the-clock recording and he doesn’t intend to let his foot off of his own neck anytime soon.
Although “If We Must Die” has been finished for a year, Clay Krucial wanted to wait until after the pandemic to release the project and truly capitalize on his moment. The world, however, couldn’t wait for him to catapult to the next level, as his 2019 single, “Dear Momma,” is currently trending on Shazam in Cambodia. Undoubtedly, the worldwide wordsmith bluntly described the mark that he wants to make on his hometown: continue creating high-quality sound. “What I’m doing personally has never been done before at all in the history of Memphis, period,” he illustrated regarding the general consensus of his sound. “It’s meticulous to say the least,” he deduced.
