Civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump hosted the inaugural social justice weekend in Atlanta, GA! The focus for the events helped raise money to provide scholarships for five future civil rights and social justice students, currently pursuing law degrees at historical black universities. Crump chose the second week of December to coincide with the celebration bowl and highlights of HBCUs in the city during the weekend.
